10.6.1908: Launched by Smith’s Dock Co Ltd, North Shields (Yd.No.382) for Neyland Steam Trawling & Fishing Co, Neyland as BUSH.
7.1908: Completed.
25.7.1908: Registered at Milford (M227). Alexander Scott, Llanstadwell, Neyland designated manager.
4.8.1908: First landing at Milford (Sk. Ernest A. Sheldon), £231 gross.
7.6.1911: Coaling at Neyland pontoon, struck amidships by CALDY (M228) sustaining damage.
5.1915: Requisitioned for war service as an armed trawler (1-12pdr) (Ad.No.2667). Based Aegean Sea.
1918: David G. Jones designated manager.
24.2.1919: Sold to The Scarisbrick Steam Trawlers (Fleetwood) Ltd, Fleetwood.
3.3.1919: Milford registry closed.
5.3.1919: Registered at Fleetwood (FD60). Joseph A. Taylor designated manager.
1.1920: As previously programmed, returned to owner at Neyland.
2.1920: Completed refurbishment and survey at Belfast. Subsequently arrived Fleetwood (incorrectly painted up, PLN (M227), port of registry Milford).
1924: William W. Brierley designated manager.
1938: Hulbert M. Bird (The Clifton Steam Trawlers Ltd) designated manager.
15.12.1928: Homewards from West of Scotland grounds (Sk. Charles Coxall); eleven crew. Approaching Islay Sound in thick fog went ashore on rocks off the Mull of Cantire. During the night in a severe snow storm, lifeboat launched but damaged ranging alongside.
16.12.1928: Steam trawler WIGAN (FD241) reported to Malin Head W/T Station that no assistance was required, steam trawlers EDWARD CATELLY (FD204) and VERA GRACE (FD211), standing by, the latter has a line aboard. Every possibility of getting off on to-night’s tide. Attempt at refloating was unsuccessful.
18.12.1928: Owners informed, underwriters’ representative left Fleetwood for the site and Glasgow steam tug, FLYING SERPENT (199grt/1911) engaged to refloat. Fleetwood steam trawler FLORENCE BRIERLEY (FD105) routed to take off catch.
19.12.1928: FLORENCE BRIERLEY arrived and catch, 2,000 stone, transhipped by boat. On completion sailed for Fleetwood.
20.12.1928: Glasgow tug, FLYING SERPENT on the scene, vessel listing 20° to starboard and after cabin flooded; preparations made to refloat.
22.12.1928: Refloated. Checks of hull integrity and machinery state carried out and vessel permitted to sail for Fleetwood.
24.12.1928: Arrived Fleetwood.
24/25.12.1936: At Lochboisdale, South Uist, Ch.Eng Edward Diver (28), fell between the ship and the jetty when returning onboard and was drowned.
22.2.1937: Two Fleetwood fishermen, Harry E. Reynolds (19) and William A. Martin (21) were each fined £1 by Fleetwood Magistrates for failing the join the ship. Both men pleaded guilty.
3.11.1937: At Blackpool County Court, Jane Diver, widow of Edward Diver who drowned at Lochboisdale, successfully applied for compensation from the owners, The Scarisbrick Steam Trawlers (Fleetwood) Ltd. The Judge granted the applicant the relief asked for, namely £300 for herself and £217 for her child; the respondents to pay the costs.
1939: Hulbert M. Bird c/o Clifton Steam Trawlers Ltd, designated manager.
28.5.1940: Requisitioned for war service as an anti submarine trawler (P.No.NR) (Hire rate £55.10.0d/month).
5.1941: Employed on harbour defence patrol.
8.1943: Employed on miscellaneous duties.
4.1944: Converted for salvage work (Liverpool & Glasgow Salvage Association, managers).
27.9.1946: Returned to owner.
1948: Sold to Dundee Fishing Co Ltd, Dundee. Cameron & McFarlane Ltd, designated managers.
1950: Sold to R. Fenton, Dundee. Fleetwood registry closed. Registered at Dundee as Lynn Fenton (DE24). R. Fenton designated managing owner.
1954: Sold for breaking up. Dundee registry closed.
