Wireless operator made contact with steam trawler DAILY TELEGRAPH (GY367) which stood by whilst checks carried out and found to be making a little water. Proceeded in company for Fleetwood.

16.3.1937: Homeward from the fishing grounds in very heavy weather when 30 miles west of Dhu Artach Light shipped a heavy sea and three crew swept across deck and dashed against ironwork. John Randle sustained head injuries and Tom Garwood and John Snasdall body injuries.
17.3.1937: Put into Oban for medical assistance; all three taken to West Highland Cottage Hospital, Randell was unconscious and his injuries serious.
6.8.1943: Sold to J. Bennett (Wholesale) Ltd, London (William A. Bennett, manager). Landing at Fleetwood from Faroe and Iceland grounds.

10.12.1915: Registered at Fleetwood (FD192). Requisitioned by The Admiralty from the builders and fitted out as armed trawler (1-6pdr) (Ad.No.1977).
1919: Returned to owner at Fleetwood (James A. Robertson, manager).
12.10.1924: Edward Towne appointed manager.
20.6.1929: Pursued by HMS SPEY when illegally trawling in the Firth of Clyde.
21.6.1929: At Campbeltown Sheriff Court, Sk. William Harrison, pleaded guilty and was fined £170, to illegal trawling, concealment of identification marks and for refusing to stop. The nets and gear were ordered to be forfeited. For assaulting an AB of the boarding party, Jack Weyman, deckhand was fined £3.3s.

1917: Icelandic trawler-owners sold 10 trawlers to the French navy. Export licence was contingent upon replacing the ships as soon as possible after the war.

1936: Ran aground at Faroe Isles but refloated.
8.2.1937: Sailed Fleetwood for West of Scotland grounds (Sk. Richard Snape); twelve crew.
9.2.1937: In the morning approaching Islay in heavy snowstorm, zero visibility and strong swell, struck rocks off Ardbeg, offshore of Carmichael’s Rock. Tried to refloat with engines but came fast with forepeak flooded and listed. Crew took to boat but lost their direction and with ebb drifted away from shore. As the snow storm passed the puffer PIBROCH (96grt/1923) (George C. Thomson, Master) on passage Glasgow-Port Ellen sighted the wreck and discovered her abandoned, a search to seaward in the poor visibility found the boat and the crew were landed at Ardbeg.
