History

22.6.1906: Launched by Hall, Russell & Co Ltd, Aberdeen (Yd.No.406) for The Aberdeen Steam Trawling & Fishing Co Ltd, Aberdeen as STRATHSPEY.
8.1906: Completed.
8.8.1906: Registered at Aberdeen (A92). John Brown designated manager.
13.6.1907: Ordered to proceed to assistance of steam trawler STRATHCLYDE (A336) stranded in Freswick Bay, Duncansby Head. Steam trawler CLAN GRANT (A909) had stood by and provided anchors and chain to prevent casualty from being driven onto rocks. Connected, refloated and moved to safe position to check for leakage.
1.1.1914: Tonnage altered to 79.01 net under provision of Merchant Shipping Act 1907.
2.1915: Requisitioned for war service as a minesweeper (1-6pdr HA) (Ad.No.1169). Based Dover.
12.11.1918: Sold to Frederick Harrison, Scarborough. Frederick Harrison designated managing owner.
By 12.3.1919: Returned to owner at Aberdeen.
8.4.1919: Sold to North Sea Steam Trawling Co Ltd, Scarborough. Frederick Harrison designated manager.
9.5.1920: Picked up nine survivors from steam trawler TARANAKI (SH225) which foundered 35 miles NE of Scarborough, after sustaining damage from an exploding mine snagged on fore trawl door.
18.10.1928: Sold to Archibald Glen Brown, Granton. Archibald Glen Brown designated managing owner.
1926: Sold to Thomas Harrison Scales Snr & Thomas Harrison Scales Jnr, Newhaven, Edinburgh (joint owners).
1936: Sold to Thomas H. Scales & Sons Ltd, Newhaven, Edinburgh. Thomas H. Scales Jnr designated manager.
1939: Sold to Boston Deep Sea Fishing & Ice Co Ltd, Fleetwood. (Basil A. Parkes, Cleveleys, manager).
26.11.1939: Requisitioned for war service as a boom defence trawler (P.No.Z161) (Hire rate £50.10.0d/month).
4.5.1942: Returned to owner.
1943: Sold to James Mackie & Andrew Robertson Jnr, Aberdeen.
1950: Sold for breaking up.
